Fill - refill.co Scoops

Sustainability and community is at the heart of Home Thrown so I was really chuffed to be contacted by Phill from Fill.refill last year with a fun commission to make some bespoke scoops for his brand Fill.co. His family business focuses on a closed loop economy, creating eco conscience home cleaning products all ingredients 100% vegan, eco friendly, whilst lowering C02 emissions and including community and independent craft businesses within the manufacturing process. The bottles are recyclable and screen printed with Eleonora Marton’s hand written branding.

From the very start it was a great project, working closely with Phill and Eleanor on the design process and coming up with different scoop shaped clay prototypes, It was a great day when Eleonora’s illustrations dropped into my email folder, her designs work so well on the clay scoops and I had lots of fun decorating them in the spring sunshine and finishing them with the custom Fill stamp that Phill got made in a local foundry in Nottinghamshire. The final delivery off our scoops took myself and my sister to London where we met up with Phill and his lovely family. It is so nice to be part of such a thoughtful brand and work beside makers that share the same values. Some of the little scoops even made it to Iceland, a place very high on my bucket list.
